Richard joined CI Coop in 2024 as Chief Retail Operations Officer.

With 20 years in the food sector, Richard's experience spans Retail Operations, Manufacturing, and Agriculture across Europe, Africa, and the US. Richard has successfully led businesses of various scales, demonstrating a strong performance record in developing both short and long-term strategies to support growth and profitability. 

Richard has led multi-million development and investment projects in complex businesses, enhancing operational efficiency and performance results, as well as having gained extensive experience in M&A.

In the Co-operative sector, Richard led the transformation programme for the Co-operative Food business.
