We are looking for a Team Leader to join our team at St Martins Food Store.

Our Team Leaders play a key role in maximising sales and profitability by providing excellent customer service through effective team leadership, all while working within the Aims and Values of the Society. 

 

What will I do:

  • Effectively recruit, lead, engage and develop a team
  • Effectively develop and execute excellent customer service
  • Oversee and assist in the control of all operating costs
  • Work with the Manager to effectively grow profits
  • Be responsible for legal compliance and maintaining due diligence – Fuel Safety, Food Safety and Health & Safety
  • Demonstrate to The Society Aims and Value and the Management Charter

 

What do I need?

  • 4 years+ Retail experience
  • People management skills
  • Ability to lead, engage and develop a team
  • Ability to help identify and maximise sales opportunities
  • Ability to help profit growth
  • Ability to communicate/ liaise effectively with Manager
  • Knowledge of retail statutory legislation
  • Ability to oversee costs, e.g. leakage, waste, personnel budget
  • Broad understanding of the business and the broader co-operative movement
