Job Role

We're looking for a Supervisor to be part of our team at St Martins Food Store.
 

The sucessful applicant will help to contribute to the successful delivery of the Store business plan.

As part of this role you will need to ensure that your store is safe, secure and legal and compliant with all legal requirements. Ensuring that society policies and procedures are fully adhered to.

To lead, inspire and develop your team, making sure that each and every colleague feels valued.

To maximise sales and profitability by providing excellent customer service through effective team leadership and that customers are at the heart of our decision making.

This role can be physically challenging at times and involve reaching, bending and lifting of stock and standing for long periods of time, but what you give in enthusiasm we'll return to you in full in training and other benefits and rewards - including Starting salary of £12.75 +10% Sunday Rate, we also offer 10% staff discount and offer weekends of 20%, discretionary bonus, mandatory contributory pension scheme, simply Health and a generous holiday allowance, as well as other discounts.

Other key responsibilities will include:

  1. Stock control
  2. Maximising sales opportunities
  3. Ordering of stock
  4. General store administration including tracking and maintaining low margin for food waste
  5. Personnel budgets and administration

The role can be at times physically challenging and will involve reaching, bending and lifting of stock and standing for long periods of time.

Ideally, you will be 18 years and above (due to regulations around the sale of alcohol and tobacco).

Our ideal candidate will be have excellent communication and people skills with customers as much as colleagues. You will have good written and verbal English and be able to help lead and develop your team members.
