We are proud to announce our new store opening in Five Oaks on 27 April.

Coop Five Oaks will be the our newest store to date, and will have many of the eco-conscious, sustainable elements which are now becoming a regular feature in all Coop stores. These include; A-graded refrigeration units that save energy by up to 20%, first-class LED lighting system which is 30% more efficient than standard store lighting, solar panels, a heat exchange unit that provides hot water from a refrigeration plant and electric charging points for vehicles.

The new store, which has a selling area space of 4,300sqft, will create up to 19 new job roles and will also be the first chance for our members and the public to see our new Coop branding, which will be visible on uniforms and signage. This is our first store to showcase the new branding, before it is rolled it out across the estate.

Mark Cox, our Chief Executive Officer, said: “We are excited to be opening our new store offering customers an extensive range of Coop items, along with delivering a great shopping experience to help make everyday shopping easier.

'This is a particularly special launch for us as the opening will also coincide with the revealing of our new branding, which we have been carefully planning for some time.'

Coop Five Oaks will occupy the site of the former Jersey Evening Post offices, which was purchased by Le Gallais, a local property management company. Our store will be one of the first developments to open on the new site.

To celebrate our newest store, we are welcoming Members and the public to visit and see our Coop Five Oaks on Wednesday 27 April for its grand opening event. 

Our launch event continues through to the weekend where on 30 April, there will be an opportunity for our younger islanders to meet and greet their favourite characters. Plus, there will be a chance for some lucky, randomly selected customers to win their shopping – whether it’s a pint of milk or a trolley full of shopping.

Coop Five Oaks will open from 9am on Wednesday 27 April 2022. It will then be open daily (Mon - Sun) from 7am to 9pm.
